DominicanRepublic.LA is committed to making this website usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology.
1. Our Standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA — the widely adopted standard for web accessibility. This includes working toward:
- Sufficient color contrast between text and background
- Keyboard-navigable menus, forms, and interactive elements
- Descriptive alt text for meaningful images
- Clear heading structure so screen-reader users can navigate content logically
- Visible focus indicators for interactive elements
2. Known Limitations
Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and this site is not yet fully compliant with every WCAG 2.1 AA success criterion. Known gaps we're actively working to close include images without descriptive alternative text, and some interactive elements without full keyboard/lazy-loading support. If you encounter a barrier not listed here, please let us know using the contact method below — reports from real users are the fastest way we find and fix these issues.
3. Third-Party Content
Some pages embed third-party tools (for example, an embedded contact form or interactive map). We select these tools with accessibility in mind, but we don't control their code directly, so we can't guarantee the same level of accessibility for third-party embedded content as for the rest of the Site.
4. Feedback
If you experience any difficulty accessing content or functionality on this site, please contact us at accessibility@dominicanrepublic.la. Let us know the page you were on and the issue you ran into, and we'll do our best to respond and fix it promptly.
5. Changes to This Statement
We review and update this statement as we make accessibility improvements. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision.
